Pessolano fared a little better and finished 14th in the 30-lap feature. In the feature, unfortunately, Duell left on lap 14 after getting caught up in someone else’s mess and going for a roll in turn two, finishing 26th. A field of 39 drivers made an attempt to get in the big race. Duell qualified in his heat race, while Pessolano won one of the consolation events.

Tuesday at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway the King Of Dirt 602 sportsman series was on the card as a companion to the big block Stampede at Toga. Rich and Donna Dodson and crew are very pleased with the efforts put in by Decker and their drivers and the positive results they have seen on the track. Instead, Decker has been using his skill behind the wheel and in the garage to help get the Dodson Construction Team Green cars of Brian Pessolano and Scott Duell headed in the right direction. I have seen Willy Decker at a number of speedways lately, but not as the pilot of a big block modified.

With that being said, I will wait until the standings are final before posting. Last week saw many changes in the top 10 standings in almost every division at every area speedway. As the weekly racing seasons wind down for many tracks, the year-end points battles are heating up.
